Because the tokens enter tapped, the deck naturally leans toward grindy midrange play, but the sheer volume of creatures it produces quickly overwhelms even prepared opponents

The activated ability is pretty on-the-nose, but you'd rather have it than not

Adaptive Automaton Goblins and elves are both pretty well supported by Foundations , but that doesnt mean they cant have more good cards

It comes from the original Innistrad set and costs only one red mana

That flexibility alone makes it powerful

All in all, this is an interesting card that could be sneakily strong in focused decks, but the strong downsides makes it difficult to abuse
